I think without dreams we get lost in the day to day grind. We get lost in the activities of life and sooner or later it’s been 5 years and we’re really haven’t achieved or changed much. Yes, we may have grown just a little bit but imagine what it would be like if we were working towards something.
As kids, we used to dream. We thought of what we wanted to achieve, who we wanted to be. We felt unstoppable.
And as we grow up, the world started to impose all these thoughts on us, that we should just work, just follow and do what everyone else is doing. And there’s nothing wrong with that too.
The question is what are your dreams? What do you want?
What’s the vision you have? Because you’ll get more motivated with a bigger vision. You’ll do things differently maybe.
Have we stopped dreaming because we’re afraid? Afraid that it’ll only be a dream and that we’re even wasting our time thinking about it because we are told to be ‘realistic?”
Or have we forgotten to dream?
Because before something it created externally, it must have been seen and dreamt of internally first.
We dream first. Then we create after.
Without the dream, then there’s nothing for us to create.
So to help you reconnect with your dreams again, what do you want in 10 years. 20 years?
What would you be doing if money and time weren’t an issue?
Then the next step will be working on the dream, we’ll worry about that later, let’s work on dreaming first.
Dreams give us hope, gives us inspiration.
Time to get back on the drawing board for me. 🙂
